House rules
Dear guests,
in order to make your stay at the HVD Grand Hotel Suhl even more enjoyable, we kindly ask you to read the following house rules and pass them on to all passengers.
Please note that the General Terms and Conditions of the Grand Hotel Suhl are valid – we will be happy to send them to you as a PDF.
* With a booking you confirm that you will accept and adhere to our currently applicable hygienic measures (more information). The rules listed apply to all guests, including those who have recovered and who have been vaccinated, we do not accept any exceptions.
* The employees of the hotel are entitled to issue instructions to each guest for a ban in order to comply with public order and house rules.
* Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas of the hotel. In case of a violation, the hotel will charge a fee of EUR 250.00. The same applies to the manipulation of smoke detectors or the unauthorized opening of emergency doors. The hotel reserves the right to claim more damage if e. g. the hotel is charged for a fire service or if a fire caused by illicit smoking has caused damage to the hotel’s property.

∗ Please report any complaints in the room or inconvenience caused by the hotel staff to the reception immediately.
* We must inform you that any damage caused by you is to be compensated to the hotel and will be charged to you.
* Our reception is open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., outside these hours you can call us by phone at the local telephone number. If you arrive outside these hours, please inform us by 8 p.m. on the day of arrival on 0049 03681 452 150 or by mail to reservation@grandhotelsuhl.de.
* Breakfast hours: Monday to Friday from 06:30 to 10:00; Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 7:00 to 10:30.
* Check-in from 3 p.m.
* Check-out until 11 a.m.
* The agreed amount must be paid at the reception upon arrival. We accept payments in cash, with credit and debit card with PIN, cheques are not accepted in our hotel.
* When leaving the hotel, please close the room door. We also kindly ask you to hand in your room card at the reception at check-out. The loss of the room card leads to a fee of 20.00 €.
* For security reasons, it is not allowed to lean out of the windows – they may only be opened for ventilation. The window sill must not be used as a seat and nothing may be thrown out of the windows or called.
* Persons not booked at the hotel are only allowed to enter the rooms upon prior reservation at the reception. The hotel may refuse access on a case-by-case basis.
* When using the Wi-Fi network, the provisions of the data protection of child and youth protection must be adhered to. Violations are subject to notification.
* Pets are not allowed.
* Between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m., we kindly ask you to be considerate about the night’s rest and not to disturb other guests. Persons who violate the peace of mind may be refused further stay. The use of electrical appliances such as kettles, hotplates, or similar is not permitted. An electric kettle can be rented at reception.
* In the event of a fire, we ask you to follow the evacuation plan located on the inside of your room door. We also kindly ask you to notify the reception immediately.
* Please read the fire prevention instructions on the floors carefully and follow the regulations in case of emergency.
* The hotel expressly assumes no liability in the event of loss of valuables (especially jewelry and cash). We recommend that you keep your valuables and documents in your safe. It is located in your room in the wardrobe, the use is free of charge.
* We reserve the right to terminate the existing contract and to prohibit services from those guests if they violate the house rules and damage the hotel or other guests through the guest’s behavior.
Deposit
The customer is liable for culpable or negligent inventory damage or gross contamination. In the event of a failure to identify the culprit of a group, the entire group shall be jointly and severally liable. The hotel reserves the right to claim a deposit of up to EUR 500.00 per booking upon arrival or during the stay, which will be refunded upon departure, provided that the hotel has not been able to detect any damage or gross contamination caused by the customer or group. Damages or costs for the removal of coarse impurities that exceed the deposit amount must be paid directly on site or will be charged retrospectively if the hotel is charged for e.g. fire brigade or other rescue operations by third parties. The latter also applies to damage and gross contamination, which are only detected after the customer or group has left.
