Directions & Parking

The HVD Grand Hotel Suhl is located in the immediate vicinity of the train station Suhl (approx. 50 m). The city center is only a 5-minute walk (about 500 m).

Our reception is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., outside these times, there is a night vigil on site. If you arrive outside these hours, please inform us by 8 p.m. on the day of arrival on 0049 3681 452 150 or by mail to reservation@grandhotelsuhl.de.

Arrival by car or bus

Suhl is conveniently located near the Suhl motorway triangle (“Autobahndreieck Suhl”) and can be easily reached by car or bus from three directions via the A71 and A73.

Parking

The hotel has its own free parking. The entrance is located in “Puschkinstraße” and is signposted (see car park). Upon arrival, you can first park briefly in front of the main entrance in “Bahnhofstraße” to unload your luggage. Our car park has enough parking spaces and is regulated by a barrier system.

Arriving by train

You can easily reach Suhl via the ICE stations in Erfurt or Würzburg and then continue with the regional train (“Regionalbahn”) to Suhl train station. Our hotel is opposite the train station, you can see it from the railway track.

 

Arriving by plane

The nearest airport in Erfurt is 43.5 miles away, Nuremberg Airport is 150 km, Leipzig Airport is 204 km and Frankfurt Airport is 206 km away. On request, we can arrange the transfer from these airports to the hotel and back (for a fee).
